Description

KIVI NIRIA Higher Education Technology now has several years of experience in developing up-to-date practice-related educational materials. The entire process from idea to realisation is managed by KNHOT. In this way, in the past, the 14 institutes of technology in the Netherlands, interest groups, the sector and the professional field have worked together to develop new teaching materials for civil engineering and civil engineering courses. This formula of cooperation and the model used for this purpose is proving very successful.
For some time now, higher education has been struggling with development capacity and thus also with securing the quality of education and professionalisation of teachers. KNHOT's think tank came up with the proposal to apply this development model more broadly to other disciplines and subjects that many universities of applied sciences are struggling with (e.g. yields, drop-out rates, stumbling blocks, etc.).
KNHOT will present the development model during this symposium. We will also discuss the idea of developing educational materials for mechanical engineering courses on topics such as strength theory, mechanics, dynamics, statics, etc. We invite everyone (industry, colleges, industry, KIVI NIRIA departments, etc.) to discuss topics, form and content and especially to participate in this project so that we can offer education that is state of the art, current, practice-oriented, attractive and challenging
