Description

'Learning a new approach for demonstrable performance improvement'

In 2009, SBK Advies & Training held a workshop for KIVI NIRIA on a training methodology for people on the shop floor. SBK Advies & Training also has a training methodology for first-line (and second-line) managers involved in making the translation from policy to implementation.

The first-line manager has an important role in influencing the performance of employees on the shop floor. To be successful at that, managers need to have specific knowledge and skills. First-line performance management is a training programme that helps them (further) develop these qualities. Employees on the shop floor will contribute more effectively to business results by delivering the desired performance. The first-line manager is a key to success on the shop floor.

SBK Advies & Training describes the First-line performance management learning path as follows:
With SBK Advies & Training's First-line performance management learning path, you achieve performance improvement in your organisation through training and coaching first-line managers. The practical situation within your organisation is the platform for the learning programme: first-line managers actually work on performance improvement in their own company. This ensures demonstrable performance improvement already during the learning process.

SBK Advies & Training invites us to an introductory workshop. This workshop is aimed in particular at first-line managers who directly manage employees in the primary process, or second-line managers who want to support their first-line managers in improving the performance of their employees.

Topics in this workshop are:
- Gaining insight into the interplay between first-line managers and employees in order to achieve better performance.
- Get acquainted with an approach for targeted performance management.
- Assess current effectiveness along a 'performance management yardstick'.
- Identify areas for improvement and make an initial impetus for an improvement plan.
- Get acquainted with the learning path First-line performance management.
