Description

The Energiesprong programme works in an innovative way to make the existing built environment more sustainable. Energy neutrality for rental and owner-occupied houses, offices and care institutions. Utopia or reality? A frequently heard statement from participants in this programme is: 'it's not about technology' but about the process and the willingness and courage to make your needs known in a different way. Not on the basis of specifications but on the basis of a functional request and ambition. Does this make the future of the graduate engineer passé?

Is what we learn at school still relevant to the rapidly changing world? Is the working engineer still able to embrace the radically different approach to tendering? Is there room to develop your personal talents?

As a trained engineer, storyteller, entrepreneur, transition strategist, fresh viewer and cross-thinker, I will take you through the opportunities that are up for grabs if you work proactively with an open mind and a willingness to dialogue. What can we learn from Energiesprong's experiments with housing corporations, private individuals, municipalities and commercial enterprises when they start asking for energy-generating buildings? What role are you willing to take: supplying only advice or stuff or do you go for providing a performance guarantee? Do you opt for short-term deal scoring or long-term cash-flow and being called on your craftsmanship?

Do you want to know what future prospects you have as a student or engineer? Then don't miss this opportunity to redefine your own role!
