How do EZ+Europe support innovation
Description
Industrial activity is important for our economy through its contribution to employment and GDP. Innovation is important to remain competitive with domestic and foreign competition.
Because of this importance, innovation is stimulated by the European community, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and regional authorities by means of incentive funds at European, national and regional level. These funds are obtained through participation in projects clustered in programmes.
Participation sets requirements on the importance of the innovation for the community, the quality of the innovation but also the cooperation between knowledge institutions, large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises.
This evening, Mr Arjan Gelderblom and Mr Mark van Helvoort will provide insight into this process from different perspectives.
The Point-One association has 130 members from the NL industry and knowledge institutes that together carry out (subsidised) national and European R&D projects and set up activities to strengthen the ecosystem.
On behalf of its members, Point-One is also the mouthpiece with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and SenterNovem on stimulating innovation in the high-tech industry.
Arjan Gelderblom will explain the stimulation of innovation by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and examples of how industry and knowledge institutes together make use of it.
Philips Healthcare has a large R&D activity in the South-East Netherlands region. Mark van Helvoort will give some examples of projects in which Philips Healthcare participates
