In this in-depth session on creativity, Dirk De Boe, engineer by training and working as Innovation Manager at Philips, uses practical examples, exercises and tips to teach you how to think more creatively yourself, how to do this together with others and how to put your ideas into practice. He cites the importance of breaking daily patterns, exercising your senses and having a good balance between reason and emotion. After all, engineers are naturally very rational but can also develop their imagination much more. This helps them solve problems but also see new opportunities. Creativity techniques and some personal aspects of creativity are also covered. In addition, he shows how to create an innovation culture in your organisation and what creative leadership is needed to achieve this. On the basis of a targeted focus question, you and other participants will brainstorm how to implement this in your own organisation.
