Landscape architecture/urban design
Description
Everywhere in both municipalities and outlying areas, public spaces are undergoing a makeover. All around us we see ambitious plans being developed. After often considerable clearance, complex construction follows within the new requirements of functionality, welfare and environment, creating a whole new environment around us. Why this happens, what the starting points are and how they are brought together in a design is the theme of this presentation.
In his lecture, landscape architect Peter Lubbers presents a diversity of projects. Features of the projects are a multidisciplinary approach, innovative craftsmanship, sharp analysis, a tough and poetic language of form and a critical eye for detailing. The lecture offers an insight into the practice of landscape architecture and urban planning today.
Buro Lubbers is a design office for landscape architecture, urban planning and the design of public spaces. The firm has been designing projects at every scale since 1993. From shrinkage assignments to area development. From feasibility studies to complete urban designs and development plans for residential areas, city centres and care parks. From sketch design to cost control and implementation supervision. With ambition and realism, our designers tap into their creative potential for today's building assignments, for both public and private clients
