MTT Micro Turbine Technology bv
Description
MTT bv has developed a new concept for micro Warm Power Coupling based on micro gas turbine technology.
In the last decade, the energy world has been strongly looking for more efficient forms of heat and electricity delivery to households and businesses. The micro CHP supplies heat and generates electricity at the place close to where the consumption takes place. This makes it a much more efficient form of power generation than through conventional power plants where a lot of energy is lost during distribution.
Over the years, there have been attempts by many companies worldwide to develop a micro gas turbine (<5kW) but so far without success. MTT has now developed, based on components from the automotive - industry, a micro gas turbine that will be shown in the form of a demonstrator. In his presentation, Mr W. Ahout will discuss the genesis of MTT's micro gas turbine and its applications as well as how innovation can take place in the Netherlands anno 2010. In his presentation, Mr W. Visser will focus on the technical challenges that have been and still have to be overcome.
It is expected that the first examples of MTT's micro - CHP system will be deployed in a field test in 2012, after which the micro - CHP systems will be marketed
