After the opening by our chairman, we will hear from Peter Thüne how the energy transition offers entirely new opportunities for our region. Especially our strength in the development of High Tech devices gives perspective.

Industry's need for high temperatures and the need for fuel for heavy transport means that deployment by direct conversion of wind and solar energy is not sufficient. However, that energy can be used to produce circular fuels like hydrogen, for example. But this has to be done with an efficiency that is cost-competitive.
