World premiere at the Precision Fair: UltraAir

How do you maintain an extremely precise optical link with a satellite whilst on board a moving aeroplane?

Keynote: TNO presents UltraAir, an airborne laser communication terminal developed in collaboration with Airbus. TNO demonstrates how optics, mechatronics and control engineering come together in a system capable of locating and tracking a geostationary satellite and establishing an optical communication link with it.
