Description

To work safely and efficiently on gas (pipeline) installations, it is important to work according to the applicable standards. But how do these standards actually come about, what about the Buildings Decree and the Gas Appliances Directive? The Buildings Decree lays down requirements regarding usability, health, safety and energy efficiency. The Building Decree also refers to a number of relevant NEN-EN and NEN standards. The Gas Appliances Directive contains appliance requirements relating to safety and energy efficiency, among other things.
And if you work neatly according to the standards, can a gas explosion or carbon monoxide poisoning still occur?
The media regularly answer this question!

This lecture will give you further explanations and answers to the above questions.
The course of action in drawing up Dutch and European standards will be discussed, including NEN's role in this and how you can influence it. Special attention will be paid to the expected changes related to the new Building Decree. And of course also whether you are obliged to apply the existing standards or not.
You will also get an idea which standards exist in the field of (gas) installations.
