Description

Seminar: Sound insulation in the built environment.
In two presentations, this seminar will give you a clear insight into how sound behaves in the built environment and what effects it has on people and their environment. We will elaborate on possible solutions and design methods and show you how to achieve a pleasant sound experience in a sustainable way. If you submit your own current problem or a problem from the past, it will be dealt with in the seminar.

In the sound introduction, Mr Scheers presents the ins and outs of sound and shows you how to actually hear it. Basic concepts such as sound propagation, frequency, sound pressure and sound pressure level, sound - spectrum, sound insulation and sound absorption are reviewed.

Sound insulation is explained in detail by Mr Milan in the second session. He shows us the way in the solutions and design methodologies with the measurement methods and quantities and the applicable impact sound insulation.

At each conclusion of a presentation, there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and afterwards you will receive the engineering handbook "Sound" full of proven practice and USB stick with calculation examples worth €100.
