There are three major steel construction companies operating in Zeeland. The most specialised of the three is Meijers Staalbouw in Serooskerke near Middelburg.

It is a company that has grown into the absolute top of steel builders in a short period of time. The company has its production facility in Serooskerke. The design and drawing of buildings and steel structures is done in-house.
In the modern workshop, structures are manufactured in a highly automated way. As the only major steel construction company in Zeeland, the company has its own blasting and coating department. The installation of cladding and roofing is also carried out in-house.
All this makes the company the market leader in Zeeland when it comes to new buildings supported by steel. Last year, for instance, we were able to see a sample of their work during our visit to ROC Zeeland's new Technum in Vlissingen. Meijers Staalbouw is also constructing the second Technum, which is currently under construction.

In addition to "ordinary" steel-supported buildings, the company also specialises in making very special designs. Among other things, they made the main building and the separate snail house on Neeltje Jans. Also special is the special sound barrier along the A2 motorway between Utrecht and Amsterdam. This has earned the company national awards and renown.

The company is not only active in Zeeland and the Netherlands, but also internationally, for example in Romania, you can find buildings by Meijers Staalbouw.
We are therefore pleased that Mr Henk Meijers (director) is willing to receive us on Wednesday evening 11 June in his own unique company.
