The complete story of Zeeland during World War II

Bevrijdingsmuseum Zeeland takes you through the eventful years of the province of Zeeland during World War II. Experience it all in the largest museum of the province of Zeeland and also visit the theme park (3 hectares) about the Battle of the Scheldt!

Red thread in this story is the 'Battle of the Scheldt'. The fierce battle in autumn 1944 between Allied and German troops for control of the Western Scheldt, the important waterway to the then already liberated port of Antwerp. An often forgotten battle, but of decisive significance for the later liberation of Western Europe.


After the guided tour, there will be an opportunity to have a drink in the refectory or walk through the theme park on your own.
