Cargill in Sas van Gent produces starches, sweeteners and binders. The US multinational with 155,000 employees in 70 countries has sales of USD 115 billion. In the Netherlands, 2,200 employees work at various Cargill sites. The site in Sas van Gent employs 340 permanent staff.

ENOUGH
Cargill invests in microprotein from Enough. This expanded cooperation will give Cargill the opportunity to develop food products based on this protein alternative, for example. Enough's production facility is therefore located on the Cargill Sas van Gent site.

SFP (Sustainable Fuel Plan)
Cargill has entered into a joint venture with SFP. SFP Zeeland in Westdorpe produces sustainable biomethane, a reliable renewable fuel that enables customers to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

Safety
Fireproof and ATEX clothing and safety shoes are mandatory for visiting the plants. Cargill provides overalls and safety shoes for this purpose.
As Cargill is a food producer, food safety requirements also apply during the visit to the plants: wearing rings, jewellery, watches, phones, etc. is not allowed during the visit to the plants.

14:30 -14:50: Reception (parking is possible in the visitors' car park opposite the reception)
15:00 -18:00: Presentation followed by the site tour. Good physical mobility is required to overcome height differences (stairs), among other things.
