Wear-resistant materials visit Verbrugge
Description
Wear-resistant materials are widely used in industry to reduce maintenance costs and extend service life. These materials are used, for example, in conveyor systems (carrying rollers, rotary valves, belt cleaners), pneumatic transport (cyclones, venturis, wear bends), separation processes (sieves, filters).
Mr A. Van Acker of the company Vatis in Kalken (B) has more than 20 years' experience in applying wear-resistant materials to solve wear problems. In his lecture, he will discuss, among other things, the application of wear-resistant linings in bulk handling in the bulk goods industry to, among other things, prevent segregation (segregation) and bridging in silos.
For the lecture, we will be guests at the bulk terminal of Verbrugge Terminals b.v. on Finlandweg (Zevenaarhaven) in Terneuzen.
Verbrugge Terminals b.v. specialises in logistics services in a number of specific market segments. These include bulk products, paper and wood pulp, timber, steel, metal, cars and RoRo.
At the bulk terminal of Verbrugge Terminals b.v. in Terneuzen, a wide range of so-called white bulk products are stored and transhipped, such as fertilisers, industrial minerals, nepheline, phosphates, salts and iron rolls. In short, all kinds of materials that cause wear and tear on payloaders (loading shovels), grabs, conveyors, etc. and a unique location to see application of wear-resistant materials in practice
