Description

On 27 May 2009, we will visit the N.V. Westerscheldetunnel. Our association KIVI NIRIA has been on several excursions during the construction of this tunnel. We followed how the tunnel was built.
Now, more than five years after its opening, we have a unique opportunity to take a closer look at the underground section ('the catacombs') of this tunnel.

It is impressive to see what is under and between the tunnel tubes and all the maintenance work being done in this tunnel.

In addition, explanations will be given about new developments within the N.V. Westerscheldetunnel, where, for example, the application possibilities of the T-tag (parking, refuelling, etc.) will be explained in more detail. This promises to be a very interesting and unique excursion, especially since visitors normally never get to see this. An exception will be made especially for our association.
