Healthcare in developing countries
Description
On Thursday 21 November, a mini-symposium focusing on development cooperation will be organised by KIVI NIRIA Engineers Without Borders in collaboration with the MoveAid Foundation and study association Paradoks:
'Engineers innovate healthcare in developing countries'.
In recent years, several students and recent graduates of the Biomedical Engineering study programme have proven that their professional knowledge and entrepreneurial skills can be of great value in improving healthcare in developing countries. They have often struggled to get a project off the ground, which unfortunately in many cases comes to a low ebb once their term is over.
During this mini-symposium, we want to show students interested in Biomedical Engineering which projects have already been started in developing countries in recent years. In this way, we hope to make it clear which interesting projects that have already been started you could possibly continue with. It will also become clear what previous enthusiasts have encountered in organising such projects
