Science Café Twente quantum computer sees the light

Quantum mechanics is almost impossible to understand: just try to imagine a switch that is on and off at the same time!

Dr.Cas Damen (lector nanotechnology Saxion) takes you into the wonderful world of quantum mechanics and talks about its applications.

Dr. Jelmer Renema (UT associate professor and CTO QuiX Quantum) built a Twente quantum computer that is now the standard in Europe. He shows how to turn photons into qubits and how to compute with them.
