Science Café: Putting your best (robot) foot forward

Walking is so natural for many people that they don't think about it: you just walk somewhere, don't you? But how normal is it really? And what if walking is not possible (anymore)?
Dr Marloes Tenten (Saxion, lecturer in Podology) talks about how feet work and what to do if these important 'subjects' stop functioning.
Prof.dr.ir. Herman van der Kooij (UT, Biomechatronics and Rehabilitation Technology) developed a walking robot, called Lopes, which helps patients at rehabilitation centre Het Roessingh (re)learn to walk.
Be sure to drop in at this Science Café!
Talk show host: Linda Hiemstra BA (Saxion University of Applied Sciences).
This activity is organised in cooperation with Studium Generale.
