As part of Engineer The Future (ETF), KIVIstudents is organising several activities. ETF is an annual theme with a competition element that this year focuses on the future of mobility. It brings together student teams and graduating Bachelor, Master and PhD students working on the future of mobility. The aim is to give innovative concepts and projects extra attention and turn them into technologies that transform the mobility sector. ETF acts as a platform for inspiration, exchange and connection, with a specific focus on sustainable and smart mobility solutions.

One of ETF's activities is the company visit to VDL ETG Almelo. VDL ETG Almelo specialises in system integrations of mechatronic (sub)systems and modules for OEMs of high-tech products. From (co-)design to component production, assembly and quality control, VDL ETG Almelo covers the entire value chain. With in-house facilities such as machining, high-speed milling, precision grinding, sheet metal working, laser cutting, mechanical and electrical (clean room) assembly, testing, product certification and onsite installation, they are among the leading companies in their field.

The company visit to VDL ETG Almelo provides a unique opportunity for participants to come into contact with professionals at the forefront of the industry and to exchange knowledge and experiences. It is a valuable source of inspiration and networking opportunities for participants of the ETF competition, where we strive for innovative concepts with significant impact and scalability for the future of mobility.
