Kiki and Vince are the new digital faces of KIVI. Two engineers through and through, each with their own view of the world.
Kiki thinks ahead. She’s curious, asks questions and sees opportunities everywhere to make things smarter, more sustainable or more innovative. Vince, on the other hand, likes to get stuck in. He learns by doing, seeks out practical experience and gets a buzz from building solutions.
This regularly leads to a healthy debate. Kiki wants to explore all the possibilities first, whilst Vince would rather get straight down to work. They like to tease each other about the best route to becoming an engineer, but they always agree on one thing: technology makes all the difference. And together, they want to show as many people as possible just how versatile and valuable the engineering profession is.
From now on, you’ll be seeing Kiki and Vince more and more often: on our website, social media and merchandise. But they do more than just put their faces out there. They’ll take you on a journey of discovery through the world of KIVI. Perhaps you’ll take an e-learning course with Kiki, go on a study trip with Vince through the Study and Travel Fund, or meet up with them at one of our events.
Wherever you come across them, Kiki and Vince show that there isn’t just one way to be an engineer. It’s precisely these different perspectives and talents that make engineering stronger.

ir. Kiki is just as comfortable working at the drawing board as she is on a building site. She’s a university graduate, but feels just as at home amongst the people doing the hard work. With a sketchbook under her arm and a head full of ideas, she always manages to come up with a new, sustainable solution.
She loves to show that engineering starts with curiosity and that the best solutions come from thinking ahead. And secretly, she also hopes to convince you that the university route is the most enjoyable one.
Vince's Passport
ing. Vince feels completely at home on a building site or in the workshop. He graduated from a university of applied sciences and learnt the trade mainly through hands-on experience. For him, it’s important that things actually work in practice and that technical solutions are made understandable to everyone.
His mission? To show just how versatile and interesting engineering is. That’s why he remains curious, asks questions and doesn’t give up until he fully understands exactly how something works. According to Vince, you don’t learn engineering just from books, but above all by getting stuck in yourself.
A friendly match
Vince and Kiki share the same passion for engineering, but have each followed their own path: Vince through a university of applied sciences (BEng), Kiki through a technical university (MEng). So which of the two is the ‘better’ engineer? They’ve been at odds over this for years, and that’s fine, because at KIVI every engineer is welcome, regardless of the path you’ve chosen.
Vince reckons you can only learn about engineering by getting your hands dirty.
Kiki thinks Vince ought to read a manual first.
