For thousands of students, a new chapter has begun in recent weeks: a new city, a new degree programme and, above all, lots of new people. During the orientation weeks at TU Delft, the University of Twente, Eindhoven University of Technology and Wageningen University & Research, KIVI was on hand to get to know this new generation of engineers.

At the various locations, we spoke to students about their studies, their first steps towards a career and how KIVI can support them in this journey. Many students were keen to find out who we are, what we do and what a student membership has to offer. From activities and a professional network to opportunities for personal development: we were happy to tell them all about it.

KIVI socks and 3D printer ā€˜
ā€™ Once again this year, our promotional activities attracted plenty of attention at the stand. Students who signed up for the KIVI newsletter received a pair of KIVI socks featuring our digital mascots, Kiki & Vince. The socks were snapped up quickly at various locations.

In addition, students who joined KIVI during the induction days were in with a chance of winning a 3D printer. This gave new members an extra reason to get to know KIVI straight away and join our society. The winner of the 3D printer will be chosen by a draw on 1 September.

Different locations, the same curiosity
It was a successful day in Delft. Amidst the many stalls run by student societies, there was plenty of interest in KIVI. Students were open to a chat and keen to find out what KIVI does and how we can help them. The socks and the 3D printer were clearly popular too.

In Enschede, things were a bit quieter due to the rain. Fortunately, four enthusiastic KIVI Students representatives were on hand to tell students about KIVI. Drawing on their own experiences, they were able to clearly demonstrate what KIVI can offer students.

At the Eindhoven and Wageningen, we met lots of new students and were able to raise awareness of KIVI amongst the next generation of engineers.
