KIVI's online community recently gained several new features that make it easier for members to strengthen mutual contact and collaborate within departments and working groups. The update offers an improved dashboard, more extensive communication options and the introduction of working groups within the digital environment.

Renewed dashboard with personalised news offer
After logging in via the button at the top right of the KIVI website, clicking on 'Dashboard' will take you directly to a renewed and clear overview. This personal dashboard is fully tailored to their own interests and memberships. It shows:

  • The latest news from your own departments
  • Updates from working groups of which you are a member
  • A personal activity overview, including events you have registered for

With these improvements, relevant information becomes faster and easier to access.

Departments messages: interactive communication within your department
In the menu item 'Your Departments', members can now find all departments they are a member of. For each department, exclusive messages are available, written by (board) members of that department. These messages cover, for example:

  • New developments within the field
  • Social issues
  • Department-specific updates

These messages are only visible to members of the same department. Members can respond directly and thus strengthen the conversation within the department.

New feature: participating in working groups
For the first time, members can participate in online working groups, both within their own department and across departments. Through the 'Community Talk' menu item, members can access all available working groups.

There are two types of working groups:

  • Open working groups
Accessible to all members and relations
  • Closed working groups
    Accessible by invitation only

Within these working groups, members can collaborate, share knowledge and develop projects. Starting a new working group is reserved for board members.

Optimise your membership profile

To take full advantage of the revamped community, KIVI recommends completing the member book profile in full. This will ensure better findability, more relevant recommendations and more effective collaboration with fellow engineers.
