On Friday 20 November 2026, KIVI and De Nieuwe Ingenieurs will organise the first Day of the New Engineer at KIVI in The Hague.

The engineering sector is changing rapidly and requires new ways of learning, working and developing yourself. During this day, we will bring you closer to the professional field and explore together what opportunities are available within engineering. You will discover where your interests lie, what directions there are and how you can grow in your career.

Programme
The programme includes two appealing keynotes:

  • Hans Cremer shows how to keep developing as an engineer in a sector that is constantly changing, and how to make conscious choices in your career.
  • Marc Lammers, former top coach, shares his approach to cooperation, performance and talent utilisation, translated to the practice of the technical field.

Between the keynotes, you can take part in interactive sessions with professionals from the engineering field. Here, there will be room to ask questions, exchange experiences and gain insight into different technical directions. There is also plenty of opportunity to network and meet other young engineers.
