Today, KIVI celebrates its 179th anniversary! Since its foundation in 1847, KIVI has been bringing engineers together to share knowledge, discuss developments and contribute to society.

A great deal has changed in almost two centuries. Technology, fields of expertise and the role of the engineer are constantly evolving. What remains the same is the power of a network of people who share knowledge and ideas with one another.

Today, we are taking a moment to reflect on 179 years of KIVI. But in truth, we are looking ahead, because next year we will reach a special milestone: 180 years of KIVI. An anniversary year in which we’ll look back on 180 years of engineering, but above all look forward to what the future holds.

We’re already hard at work on the preparations. What exactly is going to happen? We’re keeping that a secret for now. But there’s one thing we can reveal: 2027 promises to be a special year.
