About the Prins Friso Engineering Award
Every year, the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI) awards the prestigious Prince Friso Engineer Prize to an engineer who excels in expertise, innovation, social impact, entrepreneurship and ambassadorship. This will take place during the Day of the Engineer.
This award, named after the late Prince Friso, brother of King Willem-Alexander, honours his legacy as an engineer in mechanical and aerospace engineering, and his valued membership at KIVI.

Annual ceremony
Since 2015, a professional jury has annually awarded the Prins Friso Engineering Award to an outstanding engineer. The audience award and the KIVI Engineering Student Team Award, an incentive prize for students, are also awarded.
