Aerospace supply chains are constantly evolving to meet technological and economic challenges. The lecture will provide an overview of the major movements in the last 50 years and the challenges now on the table. The latter include the introduction of new technologies combined with high airworthiness and (delivery) reliability requirements, ongoing globalisation, consolidation and specialisation of individual companies and opportunities offered by the use of information systems
