The Maintenance Department will organise monthly online sessions on every 1st Wednesday in 2021 covering aspects in the field of technical management and maintenance (TBO) in buildings.
Standards such as ISO 55000-Asset management, ISSO Sustainable Management and Maintenance, NEN standards and other standard guidelines are used as a framework. At the same time, a practical interpretation is given from the perspective of the technical management and maintenance of the monumental KIVI building. We will also regularly invite frontrunners, market leaders and objective knowledge sharers to tell their stories.
The aim of the sessions is to take participants through all aspects involved in Building Maintenance.
The sessions will take place from 16:30 to 18:00 via Teams and will be recorded in this time block so that people can watch them again on the internet. Digital walk-in starts at 3.30pm. After 6pm, there will be an opportunity to talk digitally until 7pm.
Wednesday, November 3, 2021, the 10e and formally final substantive online session will take place, covering Financial Insights and Cost Management.
KIVI Maintenance board member Aart de Jong of Tiberius Maintenance, also a member of the KIVI Building Committee and working as an advisor on Technical Management and Maintenance, will introduce this session.
For this session, we have invited the authors of the book "Organisation of Building Maintenance" Erik van der Wel and Anand Moelhand have been asked to explain the financial sections and the chapter on cost management from their book.
Erik van der Wel is also Department Head of Technical Management at Utrecht University , (see also Erik van der Wel | LinkedIn).
Anand Moelchand is also Manager Technical Management at the Municipality of Leiden , (see also Anand Moelchand MRE | LinkedIn).
The session promises not only a solid theoretical framework but also a strong practical content of case studies and real-life examples, with of course plenty of room for questions and interaction!
