Based on the theory of Prof Dr C.W. Graves, and the Spiral Dynamics model developed by Don Beck and Chris Cowan, the different levels of consciousness and what stages of leadership styles and behaviour match them will be discussed. This is based on the fact that leadership is context-specific. It concerns the following leadership styles stages:

  • Autocratic leadership
  • Transactional leadership
  • Transformational leadership
  • Integral leadership
  • Generative leadership

With each other on the basis of practical examples, the different leadership stages, leadership styles and levels of consciousness, in relation to these times, will be discussed interactively. It will also indicate which concept enables the transition to the next level of consciousness in Spiral Dynamics. Currently, we see two leadership gaps in organisations. The first gap inhibits the progression from transactional to transformational leadership, while the second can block or delay the transition to transformational and integral leadership. This is where a leadership gap may arise that needs to be bridged. This too will be considered and what it means for organisations. Following on from this, Dick will discuss with you what this means for you and your leadership. Where are you (your colour profile) and what could/would you like to develop? Tips/tricks for further development will also be discussed.

You will receive the book "What is your colour barcode, on safari to work that gives you energy and satisfaction" in advance, containing the code to access the questionnaire and obtain your colour profile. The book also contains a further explanation of the theory used. Bring a printout of your colour profile to the workshop.
