The KIVI symposium of January 2015 entitled "On- & reshoring of NL manufacturing" called for a follow-up. The wake-up call of the crisis is that the Netherlands desperately needs the Manufacturing Industry.
Within our free market, cost price often determines success. Shifting production to low-wage countries remains tempting. In the wake of the Make Industry, more and more high-quality industry and R&D work is disappearing as a result. Often, there seems to be no choice for the individual entrepreneur. The decline of our manufacturing industry is undermining our innovative capacity and thus our knowledge economy.
How can the tide be turned? Come and get inspired! We will show you how it can be done differently!
KIVI is convinced that cooperation between young and experienced engineers on the one hand and all stakeholders on the other offers the solution to maintain or expand the manufacturing industry.
