For more than 75 years, Van Houtum has been supplying hygienic paper and innovative solutions for improved toilet hygiene with exceptional environmental performance.

What is Cradle to Cradle (C2C)
The core of the Cradle to Cradle philosophy is that waste is food, where raw materials of products, free of harmful chemicals, are infinitely reused (the technical cycle) or biologically degraded and returned to nature (the biological cycle). Van Houtum screened the entire production process and all the substances we use in it for their effects on people and the environment and the existence of alternatives. This resulted in Satino Black, the world's first and only toilet equipment (paper towels, toilet paper, dispensers, soaps, toilet seat cleaner, etc.) that is allowed to carry the Cradle to Cradle certificate. Their long-term ambition is to achieve full Cradle to Cradle business operations. To this end, they have developed a Cradle to Cradle roadmap.

New-style meeting format
All participants will be sent information in advance to prepare for a problem area at Van Houtum. This will form the common thread during our meeting. For his part, Van Houtum will let us look more inside the kitchen than we are used to. This creates more depth and a greater WIN-WIN range, with an increased chance of spin-off effects for all parties.

Does being C2C certified contribute to continued success in the future?
In addition to their many recognitions such as Best Managed Company 2012 and the 1st prize ARBO trophy won in 2007, 2009 and 2010, they actively seek cooperation with other innovators. The complex matter related to this will be discussed in more detail during this meeting, where our input will be large due to a specific question posed to us by Van Houtum. This questioning will relate to their Cradle to Cradle dispenser line. How can they make follow-up steps in this. The focus will be on economic models to achieve circular economy and healthy raw materials that can be reused again and again
