Was Napoleon a good entrepreneur?
Description
In companies, analysis and strategy is often about Strengths/Weaknesses - Opportunities/Threats.
This was certainly the case with Napoleon.
Exactly 200 years ago, the Battle of Waterloo determined the future of Europe. This colossal military encounter, the last classic battle in history, was incidentally fought on the territory of the brand-new Dutch kingdom.
If only Wellington had won, Napoleon would have won in 1815. Europe would undoubtedly have looked very different today. The question is whether there would have been a KIVI today.....
The Battle of Waterloo has always fascinated us. The lecture attempts to convey that fascination to you through a presentation. The lecture is largely based on historical literature published only in this 'anniversary year'.
The story consists of two parts, is interrupted by an intermission and is illustrated with 160 beautiful pictures.
The following topics will be reviewed:
- France from the French Revolution (1789) onwards
- Geopolitics 1810-1814 and the Congress of Vienna
