Every day we make decisions based on information from others. But how do you know whether this information is reliable and complete? How do you find out the other person's true intentions? In a triptych on 'Human Profiling', participants were given a glimpse into the world of 'reading' your interlocutor, without distrusting him or her. In this first session, Gert Jan Schenau enervatingly went into the basics of Human Profiling.

Human Profiling combines three elements, i.e:

  • asking the right question at the right time
  • listening for words (which are usually not said)
  • looking at expressions

Most people make a decision mostly in 2D: this uses only 7% words, the rest (93%) is body grammar including micro-expressions, gestures, posture, voice etc. Interesting fact by the way: in terms of voice, men have 3 levels, women 5 levels which makes it seem like they are more emotional. However, if you were to use human profiling, a third dimension is added namely intentions. This way, you get a complete picture of your interlocutor. this is not about detecting a lie or deception! We all lie, especially to make ourselves feel better. Men lie (on average) 3 times a day, women as many as 21 times a day, but this is usually to protect another ('How good-looking you are!'), while also maintaining a better storyline than men.

This first session of Human Profiling was very successful - the room was nice and full (about 40 participants) and there was a lot of interaction between the Gert Jan and the participants. As a result, the activity was again very well rated. The next session are on:

Description

Human Profiling
Every day we make decisions based on information from others. But how do you know whether this information is reliable and complete? How do you find out the other person's true intentions? Learn to 'read' your interlocutor, without distrusting him or her.
With Communication in 3D®, you 'calibrate' obtained information, resulting in:
- Generate 65% more information in a shorter time frame;
- Reduce the chance of wrong decisions by 80%;
- Make your conversation 70% more efficient;
- Achieve a higher level of quality of your advice, choice or decision;
- Distinguish yourself with the Human Profiling™ competency for professionals.

Discover and learn the language of the body, and match words with body language at the moment these words are spoken. Generate 65% more information in a shorter time frame by seeing 'depth' in a message. Discover when someone is lying, recognise signs of deception and find out the other person's intentions at lightning speed.

For whom?
The lecture series is intended for the professional who regularly makes decisions based on knowledge and insights. A decision-maker who wants to improve the quality of his or her decision-making and increase the integrity of information by 'reading the other'.

The use of Human Profiling for strategic decision-making

Our communication consists of 7% words and 93% body language. This includes posture, body movements, voice and micro-expressions. Good and successful decision-making requires correct and complete information. During this seminar, we will discuss in an inspiring and interactive way:

- Micro and macro expressions; What are these? Why are these important? How can I 'read' these expressions?
- Body language as the main source of information; How do I make information more 'complete' by adding body language?
- Communication in 3D® and Human Profiling as a methodical calibration process of Integrity; How do I give 'depth' to information allowing me to find out the true intention of the other person?

Speaker(s)

Gert Jan Schenau MBA discovered the added value of body language in communication during his years as International HR director in the high-tech company KROHNE AG. He turned this into a practical technique that can be learned and applied by anyone. With this, he has now taught many professionals, in many industries and at every level, a communication skill that is new, unique and extremely efficient and effective.
