Small space, big opportunities
Description
Rockets and small satellites, built and launched into space by Dutch companies, have interesting potential for defence and security applications.
Milksuit satellites for rapid observations, communication with special forces or track and trace of targets. Small rockets for relatively simple launch of nanosatellites or as test and practice targets for defence against ballistic missiles. It is all possible and increasingly, standard technology from the automotive or smartphone industry is perfectly suited for this purpose.
So great opportunities and new possibilities!
The Royal Netherlands Air Force, TU-Delft and several small companies are busy exploring and realising the possibilities. They will be happy to tell you about it during the mini-symposium on 20 February 2017 at KIVI.
