What is process technology?
By process technology, we mean the discipline concerned with the industrial-scale conversion of raw materials into desired products. This includes the disciplines: Physical Transport Phenomena, Separation Processes, Device Science, Reactor Science and Process Integration.
Safety and environmental technology are inextricably linked to this. A concrete objective is the increase of knowledge and insight, and their application, in the process industry such as the chemical, oil and gas, food, pharmaceutical, biotechnological and metallurgical industries.

We achieve this by:
- Maintaining an active website
- Publishing a trade magazine: NPT Process Technology
- Organising regional and national activities
- Close cooperation with other organisations, such as the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT) and the European Federation of Chemical Engineers (EFCE)
