Description

Zeton is the world leader in making automated pilot plants for the chemical industry. These pilot plants are built to customer specifications. To give you an idea of the size of these pilot plants: they can be table-top models, for example for use in a small laboratory, but you can also think of complete self-contained modular buildings, such as the plant for the Empyro project in Hengelo.

Turning a customer's idea into a working installation requires various disciplines. Process engineering, but also, for example, mechanical engineering, software engineering and last-but-not-least well-trained structural engineers. Because Zeton provides both engineering and construction, all from one location.

At the end of September, one of our modular projects is at the end of the construction phase. This plant consists of a 4-storey main building, a small 7-storey tower, a control room and much more. The plant is designed to run fully automated 24/7. And although the production capacity of the pilot plant is a factor of a thousand smaller than the commercial plant, this pilot plant still has more functionality and is a lot more complex. Later this year, the entire project will be transported to the customer as 15 individual modules, so this is an ideal time to come and see what such a pilot plant looks like up close and what is involved in designing and building modular plants.

The excursion will start with a presentation about Zeton: "What exactly does Zeton make and how do we get this done?" This will be followed by a tour of the construction halls, where it will be possible to see various small and large installations up close. The excursion will conclude with a snack and a drink.

This excursion is a collaboration between KIVI Region East and NPT Network Café East
