Photontastic
Description
As every year, S.V. Arago is organising another symposium for its members, the staff of the University of Twente and other interested parties.
The Arago-ASML Symposium 2012 is entitled "Photontastic: the full spectrum of optics" and will, as the title suggests, be about optics. This will cover both the history of optics as a field, applications of optics in research and industry, and fundamental aspects of optics. Among others, Fokko Jan Dijksterhuis (UT), Kjeld Eikema (VU), Jos Benschop (ASML) and Ewold Verhagen (AMOLF) will talk about their experiences with optics.
In addition to the speakers' lectures, there will be a presentation market during lunch, at which a number of departments from the University of Twente and a few companies will present (part of) their work in the field of optics.
