'Academia & Practice' conference
Description
From 5 to 9 October 2009, the seventeenth International Conference on the Professional Field of Geotechnical Engineering will be held in Alexandria. The theme chosen for the conference this time is "Academia & Practice". From the bulletin 1 and 2 issued by the organising committee, the following discussion sessions are planned:
1. Material Behaviour & Testing
2. Analysis & Design
3. Prediction, Monitoring & Evaluation of Performance
4. Construction Processes
5. Management, Training & Education
Only members of the Geotechnical Division of KIVI NIRIA have the opportunity to present their contribution to the state-of-the-art of Dutch geotechnical engineering in a paper. Abstracts of papers can be submitted until 1 March 2008 to the intended new member of the Board of the Geotechnical Division of KIVI NIRIA, ir. M. Korff, P.O. Box 69, 2600 AB Delft, e-mail: mandy.korff@deltares.nl
Experience has shown that more abstracts are submitted than there is space in the proceedings. In that case, a selection committee will make a choice. After acceptance of the abstract, authors should submit their paper no later than 1 March 2009.
