Description

Lecture evening on the implementation and initial results of the failure tests at Eemdijk.

As part of the POV Macrostability, a number of special failure tests will take place in early 2018. During these tests, test embankments with and without sheet piling will be brought to failure. The aim is to gain insight into the deformation behaviour of a dike with a sheet piling in it. Extensive monitoring is carried out to determine the differences in deformation behaviour and strength between a dike with and without sheet piling. The results will be used to verify the design and assessment methodology of sheet piling in dikes.

There is room for a maximum of 40 participants.
