Excursion from Young Kivi Geotechnics

On Thursday 5 June, we will all go on a field trip to Utrecht! We start the afternoon at BAM's project office. Here we will hear about the Lombokplein project, where dry pumping determines the geotechnical design aspects, and the Nieuw Hoog Catharijne where deep construction levels and large diameter bored piles determine the execution. We then board the boat for a cruise along Utrecht's quay walls. During the trip, the Municipality of Utrecht will tell us more about the work on these historic quay walls and wharf cellars. On the boat, drinks and snacks will be provided.

We will end the day with drinks at Café Het Gegeven Paard.

14:15 - 14:30 Walk-in project office BAM (Jaarbeursplein 22, Utrecht)

14:30 - 15:45 Intropraatje KIVI + information presentation by BAM about Lombokplein and Nieuw Hoog Catherijne

16:00 - 17:30 Canal tour including story by Municipality of Utrecht about quay wall works

18:00 - 20:00 Drinks + snacks at Café Het Gegeven Paard
