To the members of the KIVI History of Engineering Section

This time, we would like to hold a General Assembly via Zoom. We can then formalise some decisions and catch up with the board on developments. For the board, an important question here is how to proceed with nominations. Even if the old schedule of physical meetings on Saturday mornings could be resumed, it is very likely that this will no longer be possible in the now familiar Science Centre. We then face a number of choices.

1. Will we continue, where possible and if the speaker agrees, to make the meeting available via a streaming service in addition to the physical meeting? This will require the necessary extra effort but it will make it possible for members who live further away to attend the meeting as well.

2. How important is it to hold the meetings on Saturday mornings? A weekday evening or afternoon might also be possible and give more choice of venue.

It is not a matter of decision-making at this stage, but the board would like to know what ideas on this matter are among our members.
