The perception of colour
Description
On the evening of 13 November, AkzoNobel will host a meeting on the theme of the perception of colour. Conceptions of colour are constantly evolving. Whereas we used to work with a sketch and Caran d'Ache crayons for a product presentation, nowadays we work much more with 3D animations. Digital visualisation allows your product to be depicted realistically in a clear and convincing way. But how far have we actually got? Is the colour of the product on the screen actually the colour you get on physical product? In this meeting, we will take you into the world of colour, from trends to digital visualisation.
Based on five lectures, we will provide insight into colour. Ben Zweers (Director Color Marketing AkzoNobel) will give you a warm welcome at AkzoNobel's location. During this meeting, we will start with a refresher course on colour theory given by Stephanie Kraneveld (Global Colour Knowledge Manager AkzoNobel); the effect of colour on a space. We will then discuss the intuitive handling of colour by trend researcher Milou Ket (Milou Ket styling & design). Colour in the automotive industry listens very closely; accuracy can also be increasingly achieved through digital colour measurements. Eric Kirchner (Scientist, Research AkzoNobel) will then explain how the digital representation of colour works and how far we are with this within AkzoNobel AA&C. We will end with a closing from Frans van Noort (Creative Director and owner Beeldenfabriek) who has specialised in clear and appealing digital visualisations for years. In it, they will share their extensive experience on colour visualisations. In short, it will be another fascinating evening
