Report from The Green Village Delft:

Around 35 interested people attended this activity. It started with a presentation by Ted Veldkamp. Ted is Lecturer in Climate and Water at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and also a lecturer at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Ted takes us through the latest developments in practice-based research and climate innovations. Research topics covered include:

-the infiltrating city & water storage road;

-heat-resistant city;

-resilio.

The presentation is attached. The last sheet also includes links to all the studies presented.

Following this presentation, we went for a walk in The Green Village. During this walk, we look at all the innovations on drought, heat and flooding in 'the water state' with raingardens, underground infiltration facilities, green facades and green roofs. We will get a text and explanation on the various innovations that are regularly tested with colleges and universities.
