Multivariate Statistical Process Control
Description
Lecture on Multivariate Statistical Process Control:
In this lecture an impression is given of modern techniques of analysis, in particular Multivariate Statistical Process Control (MSPC). This method is highly suitable as a tool to detect, identify and eliminate process failures. If many process failures are eliminated permanently, this will improve the process operation which results in a better product at a lower cost price. As a rule the design of control schemes will also be simplified. As an example the application of MSPC in a paper production process will be elucidated.
This lecture is part of a series of three guest lecturers at the Control Systems Engineering course at the University of Arnhem and Nijmegen.
