Life is a risky business. We have to take risks every day. In society and societies, in our lives. On our way to the next destination. It is good to be aware every now and then of the dangers and risks we face.
There are great dangers lurking in industry. Toxic substances can escape. Large, uncontrolled forces can be released. Nuclear radiation. Entrapment by moving parts of machinery. In the past 30 years in particular, there has fortunately been intensive work on international regulations. For example, on SIL standards.
