Description

Many used to answer the question of what we wanted to be when we grew up: pilot ... and with the possibilities we now have since the advent of the first simulation programmes, that dream is almost coming true!
Flight simulation is as old as the PC and since the Apple II, flight simulation programmes have improved many times over and with the advent of faster PCs, they have also become extremely realistic and, to use Microsoft's slogan for a moment, we can make our flight simulation hobby 'As Real As It Gets' with software and hardware modifications.

As a former aviator, Rob van Dijk's craving for a realistic flight simulator was what drove him to start looking into the possibility of building a realistic simulator in the late 1990s.

Many attempts ended up in the dustbin, but now in 2016, with the use of further hardware and software developments, some simulators have been built of which we can say: 'As Real As It Gets' ...

During the visit, he will be happy to tell you more about the control system and the course of construction.
