Students and young professionals in the field of engineering are invited to a brand new KIVI Innovation Drink. This event will start with two inspiring presentations on creative technology and will conclude with an informal networking drink.
We are proud to announce presentations by Jacques Stevens, founder of Stevens Id¨¦ partners, and Jurnan Schilder, award-winning lecturer at University of Twente. Please note that the first presentation will be in Dutch.
Jacques Stevens:
Innovative machines nowadays are also designed to a high standard, which convinces the buyer (buyer, decider and user) to buy. In the case of machines and appliances, functionality is often the primary concern. But machines and appliances also have an emotional value for the user. Examples of these emotional values are reliability, precision, dynamics and speed but also hygiene, etc. The trend is for products to put more emphasis on ergonomics and design, think of Apple's products. Stevens id¨¦ partners started 20 years ago from UT as a TOP company and supports companies in the field of innovation and design. The lecture will discuss the role of design in the B2B market and present Trends in Design.
Jurnan Schilder:
Rollercoasters are real crowd pullers at every theme park. At the moment, the fastest rollercoaster reaches 240 km/h, but engineers are continuously looking for new ideas for more spectacular rides. How extreme can they get? What physical loads can a human body endure, and what safety risks need to be taken into account? Will there be people who dare to step in when the ultimate rollercoaster has been built? In short: what will the rollercoaster of the future look like?
