Description

In the beautiful country of Brabant lies Hilvarenbeek, and it is also home to the national liqueur and soft drinks museum.
A nosing and tasting is to whisky what a tasting is to wine: assessing colour, smell and taste. It is an attractive way to become familiar with the typical characteristics of the drink, discover your personal preferences, and better appreciate the differences in taste.

The whisky nosing and tastings, at the Liqueur & Soft Drinks Museum, take you on a journey of discovery through the fascinating world of whisky, allowing you to explore the different aspects of this versatile drink "by trial and error".

Practice shows that these tastings are a tasty and attractive alternative to an afternoon or evening out. Led by whisky expert Ad Vermeeren, nosing and tasting participants will learn all about whisky. The session is introduced with a slide presentation on the production process, and how whisky should be tasted and assessed. The characteristic features per country and per variety will also be discussed. This is followed by a tasting of the important whiskies from the different whisky countries, and some specially selected Single Malt Whiskies. The nosing and tasting will take 2 to 2.5 hours.
