Sevan cylindrical FPSOs
Description
Sevan Marine has developed a revolutionary cylindrical FPSO. A number of units are already contracted and operational.
The circular FPSO developed by Sevan Marine is an alternative to the traditional ship shape. Due to its circular shape, a Sevan FPSO does not need a swivel and turret, in addition, the motion characteristics are very favourable and there is plenty of deck space.
Keppel Verolme has completed and delivered three production units: the Sevan Piranema (Jan-2007), the Sevan Hummingbird (Dec-2007) and the Sevan Voyageur (Sep-2008).
The lecture will take a closer look at the realisation of the projects and the operation and principle of this unique type of "ship".
