Valhall Largest Offshore deck
Description
Lecture evening with topic: 'Valhall Largest Offshore deck built in the Netherlands''.
Fabrication of the 11,000 tonnes Valhall Re-Development Integrated Production and Hotel deck started November 2007. This project is the largest complex project in the history of Heerema Zwijndrecht and amounted to 2,500,000 man hours. On 30 January 2010, the site move took place at the yard, because the maximum building height was reached in one of Europe's largest fabrication halls. During the move the super module was driven out of the fabrication hall on 70 multi-wheel trailers supplied by Mammoet, amounting to a total of 1,672 wheels. After final completion the deck left the quayside in July amounting to 100 metres long, 47 metres wide and 50 metres high topside. The project was designed for 40 years and built to high specifications
